The majestic and wild mountains here in the Southern Alps offer seemingly endless Heliski terrain. We’ve booked you in with the best Heliski operations to make sure you can explore as much as possible in your time with us.
We have kept the group size small to ensure we can take proper care of each individual guest.
This is a luxury tour. We wanted to make sure every experience is enjoyable during your trip. From accommodation to food, mountain resort days to your four heliski days, your comfort and pleasure are our main priority!
We plan to get as much epic skiing/boarding in as possible. We have worked hard to allow for some flexibility in this schedule because we know that the weather can change everything. The following itinerary is plan A!
The total price all up for this tour is:
$11,120 NZD
This includes
- Airport transfers with your guide
- 4 days heliskiing in different locations
- 3 ski resort days, there is flexibility here and the location can be chosen depending on conditions and weather
- All luxury accommodation with mountain or lake views and own ensuite
- All breakfasts and dinners, also lunch on the heliski days. We know you appreciate good food so we have done our best to make sure you will not be disappointed!
- Comfortable and modern accommodation
- A group size of no more than 11
- Some flexibility in itinerary

- Your international flights
- Lunch on the days we are not heliskiing
- Any alcohol or evening drinks
Extras
- If you see something extra you would like to do during the trip. By all means let us know. If possible we will try and make it happen for you (no guarantees).
- From a massage to a skydive, lake cruise to guided mountain biking, there is SO much on offer in this part of the world.
Day 1
Arrival at Christchurch international airport NZ
Your guide will pick you up from the Christchurch international airport and take you to the accommodation close by. Here you will meet the others in your group and prepare for the tour.
Day 2
Resort ski day at Mt Hutt Ski Field
On this first day you ease into it by warming up your legs on the ski field, then end the day close by at a beautiful mountain view resort with villa style accommodation and fantastic restaurant dining.
Day 3
Heliski day with Methven Heli Ski
Early start for this day of heliskiing. Five runs included, add on extra at your own expense for $125 a run. End the day with a scenic drive to Aoraki, Mt Cook, NZ’s highest mountain. Spend the night in mountain view rooms at the exceptional Hermitage Hotel with our favourite buffet dinner.
Day 4
Heliski day with Mt Cook Heliski
This morning is a relaxed buffet breakfast admiring the mountain views followed by another day Heliski. Six runs included this day, with optional extras again. Travel to the boutique Ohau lodge and skifield in the evening.
Day 5
Ohau slopes ski day or… relaxation day or jetboat or skydive?
This day offers us some flexibility. If we didn’t heliski on one of the previous planned days we can try and make it up here. Or just enjoy the cruisy drive to Wanaka arriving at the gorgeous Edgewater resort where you will stay for three nights in their best lake and mountain view rooms.
Day 6
Heliski day with Southern Lakes Heli
Flying and exploring the mountains from Wanaka today. The best heliski terrain is accessed from here and there are plenty of options. The resort restaurant is great, or eat out in Wanaka tonight.
Day 7
Heliski day with Southern Lakes Heli
The last booked day Heliskiing. Make the most of it. Check out a new location today. Flexibility with dining again.
Day 8
Ski resort day
On this day we can choose to visit a ski resort in Wanaka or Queenstown with the best conditions on the day. Also this is another day of flexibility if the weather didn’t allow for Heliskiing on one of the previous days. We head over to Queenstown for our final night at the Scenic Hotels. We have booked the Champagne Room at the high end, Botswana Butchery restaurant for your dinner on this night. Its one of our favourites and will be great to share stories and unwind after the trip.
Day 9
Departure
Many of you will be flying out on this day. Our guide will do airport transfers from the accommodation or take you to where you want to be (within reason).
