On this tour we immerse you in the breathtakingly scenic and magnificent natural landscapes. The remote places, off the beaten track. We connect you to the real New Zealand, the people and the places that sing to your heart.
You have the option to explore via bike, hike, boat, kayak, 4WD and more.
The places you stay and people you meet are those whom we have searched out, and intentionally chosen to partner with, based on their alliance with our Tiaki Promise Commitment.
The accommodation on this trip is unique and exciting yet luxurious;
- Woodfire heated cabins in the middle of the mountains, with a Sauna onsite
- A-frame bungalows in the middle of national park rainforest
- A glamping yurt village with spa pool
- A private cabin on a cruise/sailboat in the beautiful, doubtful sound.
We have some pretty special experiences planned for you during this trip.
- A day long 4WD offroad and hike among glaciers and waterfalls in an alpine national park.
- Forest walks with a local guide, explaining the Flora and Fauna, as well as the indigenous and colonial history, traditional ways of life and edible wild foods of the area.
- Learn about and have a try at traditional wild crafting, including basketry.
- A chance to contribute back to this area by planting a native tree in support of local forest restoration
- A tour of a biodynamic farm or vineyard
- Wine tasting at our internationally award winning biodynamic wineries
- An ecotour via boat to a remote island on Lake Wanaka. Which has a lake with an island on it!!
- A half-day guided E-bike trip along stunningly scenic riverside bike tracks.
- Waterfall discoveries woven through the trip
- Night, guided tour through ancient cave formations filled with glow worms.
- Two days, one night, cruise through the internationally famous Doubtful Sound.
- Opportunities to go kayaking, fishing, swimming and exploring.
This trip includes all breakfasts and dinners.
Some evenings you will be catered for by the carefully chosen, resident chef at your accommodation.
Other nights you will be dining at local restaurants, showcasing the best of the area’s seasonal produce.

It is a great place to shop not too far from New York. We took the bus from Port Authority and traveled through the countryside to get there.

This is the best tour on the east coast! It was amazing how many places we visited and what great memories we made!
